Woman practising yoga on a sunlit terrace

Yoga retreats in Italy, designed for teachers who want to teach

Shala, meals, sound, sleep, transfers. Planned. You keep your attention on the practice.

What we handle

Italy gives you the conditions for a strong practice: morning light, quiet courtyards, open terraces, and food that doesn’t fight your programme. We source the space, handle the logistics, and brief the on-site team so the week runs while you hold the room.

The venue

Shalas with natural light, villas with outdoor platforms, or converted monasteries with real silence. We’ve seen enough to match the venue to your style.

The programme

We time meals and transfers around your practice schedule, not ours. If you teach twice a day, the day is built around that.

On the ground

Props, sound, dietary, late arrivals. A named host on-site, in Italian and English, handles the whole operation while you teach.

A typical yoga retreat day

A template only. Every retreat we plan is built around your programme, not ours.

  • Dawn practice (2 hours)
  • Seasonal breakfast
  • Integration or workshop block
  • Lunch. Shared table, local, unhurried
  • Free time / rest / optional excursion
  • Afternoon restorative or yin practice
  • Pranayama or meditation before dinner
  • Communal dinner, optional satsang

Regions that suit yoga retreats

Any region can host a retreat, but some suit this programme better. A few we return to:

Tuscany

Open hilltop villas with practice terraces, warm-season weather, and room for outdoor asana at dawn.

Umbria

Quiet, car-free venues and sunrise stillness. Built for long holds and longer integration.

Amalfi Coast

Sea-facing terraces, coastal light, and cliffside hotels that frame a strong vinyasa week.

Lake Como

Shaded gardens, lake-facing shalas, and easy-breath elevations for pranayama-heavy formats.
